- The First ASEAN-Japan Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (1st AMMDM Plus Japan) was held on 14 October 2021 via virtual conference, under the co-chairmanship of H.E. K. Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law of the Republic of Singapore, and H.E. Satoshi Ninoyu, Minister of State for Disaster Management of Japan.
- We affirm the longstanding relationship between ASEAN and Japan, under the auspices of the ASEAN-Japan Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM Plus Japan), and common objective to achieve substantial reduction of disaster losses in lives and assets, and enhance disaster resiliency of our region through joint collaboration and cooperation in disaster management.
